Ciaran McClements has worked at the practice since 2011 and became the principal optometrist & director in 2016. He qualified from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge in 2005 and has since worked for many multiple & independent opticians all over the North East of England.

Ciaran takes pride in the team he builds around him and enjoys sharing his knowledge & experience with his colleagues. He has invested in market leading eye testing equipment to ensure the practice maintains its position as one of the most reputable & trusted independent opticians in the region.

Ciaran has experience managing a wide range of ocular conditions having specialised as a Refractive Laser Optometrist for 7 years working closely with surgeons. This role also involved pre & post- operative care for lens implant & refractive lens exchange patients (similar to cataract surgery). Dry eye is one of Ciaran’s primary areas of interest.
